So with the new android phones coming out soon i was thinking about getting one.
Currently i have a blackberry tour and was just wondering...
if i got an android phone, would i be able to activate it and keep the same plan ive been on with the blackberry? Or will something be changed (or charged etc)?
Has anyone been able to do switch back and forth like this?

you will be charged the same except that verizon I believe differentiates between a smartphone plan (winmobile or android) and a blackberry plan.

    The plan is the same
Blackberry Email and Web - 29.99
Smartphone Email and Web - 29.99
So there is no difference. You should be ok.

It needs a different feature code to differentiate whether to turn on BIS or not, but since the price is the same once you do the ESN change on myverizon.com it should flag it, change the feature, then give you your Android web.

There are 3 different Blackberry plans that I was offered:

    Blackberry Internet & Email: $29.99
    Blackberry BIS : $44.99
    Blackberry BES : $59.99

I'm not sure what the difference is between the $29.99 plan & the $44.99 plan?

There are two blackberry plans 29.99 for email and 44.99 for a corporate bes plan. The android email and web is 29.99. Unless you are on a bes for your work the price for your internet will not change.

bes email ($44.99) is only needed if you have corporate email. If you use gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc for email, like most people do, then you will only need the $29.99 plan.

    That could be it...
