    Hi All,

I have a Verizon Pearl. I read that BIS 2.5 goes live today. I also read that with BIS 2.5, aol email will be real time, and you dont have to have 4.5 on the phone for this to work. My question is, do I need to do anything for this to work as I have not yet seen a change in my aol email. It still is delayed a few minutes and not pushed live.

    Thanks
    Mark

Before I do that, I'm just curious if anyone on Verizon has this working?

Go to your providers BIS site (Verizon's site. Log in, then select service books on the left side. The select send. Hope this helps!

i did...but there is still a delay in receiving aol email...its not realtime. I just want someone who has an aol email acct. on a verizon device to let me know if its coming to you realtime?

    Thanks again!

You have to resend your service books for HTML email to work - they upgraded the BIS. I'm on verizon too and just did - the only annoyance at this point is that images do not download automatically even when that option is enabled. But the rest of the email now atleast is readable instead of the HTML code!

edit: ah, sorry - I thought you wanted someone no verizon to let you know. I guess you will have to wait for someone with aol + verizon to come along. Any idea if aol email works with BB BIS? hotmail didn't initially until they enabled it later on.

No, nothing horribly faster yet.... still a short, under 1m, lag. Were you having a much longer lag before?

For AOL yes, it can sometimes take 10-15 min...

Works for both of my Verizon 8330's. Yeah, you gotta hit "get images" each time you open an email, but that's no problem and it dloads the images very quickly.

Doesn't work on my Pearl. I probably have to wait for 4.5.

Yea, you need to have O.S 4.5 enabled in order to get the HTML to work correctly. I have it running on my 8330 and it works fine, dont have to select "get images" as they load by themselves.. Added my old aol mail account and email is almost real time..
