    Hi all -

So I'm a complete Blackberry newbie and have patiently been waiting for the Curve. I'm trying to do some research in terms of plans and was hoping someone on here would have some sage advice for me so that I don't get conned into signing up for stuff i don't need.. The BB would be for my personal use, not business (just want access to my gmail, and the web, etc).. I'd really like to know if there's anything I should sign up for that would be the cheapest and most efficient option for me (that most vzw sales reps would not be keen to suggest!)

    Many thanks!

    Welcome to the Crack.
That depends on what your Budget can afford. I have the Unlimited Anytime Minutes plan coupled with the Data Plan Cost $149.99 which gives me just about everything I need. I travel a lot, so I don't worry about roaming, got Unl Text, Unl Picture/Video Msg.

your minimum plan is going to be $80. Thats 450 mins plus your blackberry stuff. I have the 900 mins for $100. That doesnt include unlimited texting.

I have the 700 minute deal with a total of 4 lines plus the blackberry package at 29.99. So once all the dust settles I should be around $130/mo.

Thanks all for the input.. So I'm guessing I should stick with my unlimited minutes (which is what I have now) and just add the 29.99 plan.. Thought I would need to change my plan completely but I think I can just add it on...

yep! You just add the BB plan on. You'll love it - only had mine a week now and I'm not really sure how I lived without it before.

That's if you go the bundled way. Since the OP is using it for personal use. The cheapest route is getting the $39.99 plan with 450 minutes. Then adding the BIS Plan for an additional $29.99 a month. A total of $69.98.

EDIT: Took too long to post this.

Please don't forget to buy the insurance when you purchase!! Someone here forgot to do that and was wondering if the carrier would replace it for free.
