ok i have the fully loaded 450 minute plan for an average cell phone i have a blackberry i would like to add to my plan but dont want my bill to go up since im am paying for

    450 minutes
    unlimited txt
    unlimited pix
    unlimited flix
    unlimited data

why is the blackberry 20 bucks more for the exact same thing why

so can i just call and switch the esn without them being the wiser and what about the new sim card for verizon how would u get that for the verizon storm if i dont have one for my current phone plzzzzzz someone help me

What they mean is the system automatically knows what device you have, and it puts in the $44.99 BES plan for blackberry's. If the rep removes that feature during activation then it automatically adds the $29.99, if then the rep tries to remove the $29 it puts back in the $44 BES plan again. Its a neverending cycle but it will not let you change the ESN without one of those 2 plans....

    Hey, I resemble that comment!

Though I didn't buy it for that reason, that's pretty much what it's turned into. Netflix and media center extender for the last 5 months. Maybe played 20 minutes of games.
Haha, I must admit, I thought of that comment because I bought a PS3 over a year ago, just to use as a BluRay player, because PS3 doesn't have a great game lineup and online gaming seems to suck and the trophie system isn't anywhere near as competitive as XBOX's achievement system.... But, the PS3 was the cheapest BluRay player at the time, that's why I got it, along with the potential that good games may come out later down the road...

I apologize in advance if someone has asked this specifically but I haven't seen any answers that satisfy my personal questions about plans.

I'm currently looking to change my plan (I'm month-to-month so it'd be nice to update it) and upgrade to the Curve 8330 (currently on an enV).

My question is what is the cheapest plan (or combination of options) available for a single phone line that allows unlimited texting, 450 minutes, voice calls, unlimited data and e-mail for the BB.

    Thanks in advance

Add $30 if you currently have no data plan.

    $15 if you do.

Add $20 if you're on a Premium plan currently & $30 if on that Premium plan & want to keep VZNav.

And be ready for some reduced functionality in many areas if comparing with one of the new enV models, especially the Touch.

No no no, I've got the original enV. It's been a few years since I've upgraded my phone.

I'm currently paying $40 for voice and texting then another $40 for data and VZNav. I have my own GPS device (TomTom) so it's not like I need it.

I was wondering if there was cheaper alternative to adding another $15 for e-mail access (that's what the sales rep said at the store) to my bill.

    It would appears not

    Thanks for the help

I have a similar question that NewGuyRy had. I currently have the LG Dare from Verizon and I really hate this phone. As of yesterday I am eligible for the New Every Two phone upgrade. I have always fancied the BlackBerrys. I think they are quality phones based off of the ones I have messed with that are friends or family members. I have heard though that there is a mandatory price hike if you get a Blackberry in your monthly plan and I don't understand the situation at all. Could someone please explain?

I currently pay 39.99 for for the Nationwide Basic calling plan and 5.00 extra for 250 text message allotment - which I often go overboard with. I also have insurance on my phone which I pay 5.99 for. I don't have any kind of a data package at all. In the end my bill is around 58.00 dollars if I don't go overboard on the texting.

If I got a Blackberry (I don't know which one to get, if I do get one) how much would it cost me per month in the end?

    Thanks for your troubles,

    Shane

EDIT: I should also ask: Is is necessary to have the data plan, or can you get around that?

Regarding plans: you get what you pay for...

This would be the breakdown for you ShaneHeaven
    39.99 Nationwide Basic 450 Minutes
    29.99 Blackberry Email&Web Unlimited
    +5.00 250 TXT/PIX/FLIX Messages
+7.99 Total Equipment Coverage (Insurance + Extended Warranty)
    82.97 Total (Before Taxes)

Now... if you ever go over your text messages by 150 texts, it would make more sense to go to a different plan.

    +59.99 Nationwide Select 450 Minutes
++0.00 Unlimited TXT/PIX/FLIX Messages (Included in Plan)
    +29.99 Blackberry Email&Web Unlimited
++7.99 Total Equipment Coverage (Insurance + Extended Warranty)
    102.97 Total (Before Taxes)

    Justification... 150 txt x 0.10/txt = 15.00
15.00 = Difference in the price you pay now for 250 and unlimited

So... you could get a total of 400txt for 20.00 or unlimited

Okay, I am pissed with Verizon Wireless. Today i obtained, from a co-worker, Storm 9530 whose contract period has been terminated and the money has been paid to Verizon. I wanted to unlock the phone to use on ATT but Verizon refuses, saying that i don't have an active contract. WTF... Now they want me to pay them for two months of service at $70 a month so that at the end of the two months i can pay them a 175.00 early termination once the phone is unlocked. Verizon can f**k off for all i care. I will contact rim directly and ask them to send me a new firmware.

Verizon doesn't have any obligation to provide non customers unlock codes so you can use their branded equipment on another network. RIM will not give you an unlock code either. There are plenty of places where you can buy unlock codes. Would you take your AT&T phone into a Verizon and expect tech support?

Apparently no question, just another self-entitled guyblow thinking he can get whatever he wants done. When ppl call in we always have to have an account up. Don't know why he thought he could buy a GM and take it to Ford to get it fixed.

Why should Verizon help you in this situation? You're taking their product and trying to use it on another network.

    Hi,
Lost my Tour 3 days ago. Called vzw within an hour of losing it. Now I have my tiny Pearl as the backup phone. I'm sadly still furious over the loss of my Tour, so I've been stalking around craigslist and ebay hopelessly.
I asked one person for the ESN number of a Tour he's selling, but he refused to give it to me, saying "certain people can report them to VZW and they will be nulled." Is that true?

They are selling a stolen phone. Any legit seller will give the esn.
Tell them you are looking to buy immediately but won't without the esn.

Definately I recommend to anyone that is buying a phone to get the esn first and bounce it through vzw to make sure that its clean.
To Fifty - I take it the phone was reported lost/stolen?

The phone he's selling? Maybe. He said we can meet up at a vzw store to check that the esn is clean. But really, that's a waste of time when he can email it to me instead.
