Not everyone likes to install leaks

Then they will suffer until the official update will be released. Which will be more than likely one of the leaked.

    Using a BlackBerry Z10

Last VZW tech I spoke with said no scheduled update for this month on their list yet. Also BlackBerry tech said an update, if available, would show up on Link.

I'm not for sure if this is possible or at least as easy with the Verizon Z10 as it is CDMA and there is no similar supporting carrier in Canada like AT&T has with Rogers, but I am not 100%. The thing that I am 100% on is that the leaks work and the latest autoloader with 2354 + 1881 radio is running great and have yet to have a reboot since I loaded it on Monday.

The fact that the VZW verizon is CDMA has no relevance to someone using a SIM card if they wish. In fact, Verizon, if you are in LTE coverage area runs on a SIM based network. The phones that can do it all

Ok, so I called Verizon today and was on the phone for thirty minutes trying to find out when 10.1 was coming. The technician was knowledgeable and kept going back and asking different tech support people trying to get a good answer. The answer he was given was that there is no scheduled update at all right now. Verizon is waiting on BlackBerry to give them the go ahead to push an update and there has not been any word from BlackBerry as of today when an update would be available on Verizon. The technician apologized for the news, and researched more and came back with the same answer again.

So for all of the die hards - who is to blame here? BlackBerry or Verizon.

I have two 9930's on Verizon that have expired contracts, a new Z10 on Verizon, and a PlayBook. The PlayBook failure and lies is all BlackBerry's problems. The 9930's are fine, and the Z10 is up for debate. I could be done with BlackBerry over all of this. How can you support a company you cannot trust at all?

I feel your pain.. I just don't understand why it is taking so long to launch this update.. we want this update and need this update on Verizon for the Z10! We shouldn't have to go out of our way to install a leak.. The average user doesn't know how to do that and shouldn't have to do that... This is the same BlackBerry as it has always been.. Just lagging like always.. NOT keeping their customers satisfied... Blackberry better step it up or I'm going somewhere else.. I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same way..

Yeah I plugged my Z10 into my PC and BlackBerry Link and an update showed up 10.1.0.2014

But then I tried to install it and an error occurred while trying to download and install it and now it's not showing up at all.. it even had a reference to the Verizon website of the changes and things in this OS.. but now the update is not even there.. Strange.. I should have taken a picture to prove myself.. everybody just thinks I'm crazy now.. lol

On the phone with Verizon right now. The ability to update our phones was released June 26th. They say all they do is open the door for Blackberry to push the update and it is up to Blackberry on the time frame and the order they do it. He says Blackberry chooses to push the updates to some phones earlier to certain users on the Verizon network than others. He says once the door is open, they push the update to chosen users and in about day 10 it is available for everyone. He is calling Blackberry right now to find out what the hold up is and what can be done for me. He says Verizon will always be the last to allow an update, but Blackberry is holding it up now. So here is another fail for Blackberry along with the playbook and earnings. Thorsten may want to get back in the Bentley and show how that works instead of how making a company profitable works.

So Verizon tech support called Blackberry and I was on hold - he came back and ask for my phone PIN. He then came back and said that Blackberry was not aware that Verizon had allowed an update and Blackberry did not know what version it was. He said they would do some research and get back with him. The Verizon rep said he had limited ability to view Blackberry's system and looked at my software version that I was on and the one I should be on - the one that I should be on was blank which did not make sense. He said it seemed that Blackberry was having issues on their end with the update. He is going to call me back. He thinks that he might be able to have Blackberry push me the update if Blackberry gets it fixed on their end. What a fiasco. No wonder they are dropping the Playbook to BB10. They may have to just drop it all and sell services - like burgers and fries.

Verzion rep said Blackberry does not know what version Verizon users are to be on right now. Blackberry is calling me now. She is going to push the update via Link.
