If they are coming then why not announce it? At least those leaving Verizon or considering it would know to be patient instead of jumping ship prematurely. At least if it were confirmed that devices were coming that would act as marketing for both Verizon and BB.

So I got a z30 today and so far I don't notice too much of a difference from the z10. Here is hoping for long battery though.

I wonder if people going from the z10 to the classic will have the same reaction. I wonder if Verizon is concerned with the complaints of the z10 and are slowing down the classic because of it.

It's an issue beyond the control of Blackberry. Verizon has to agree to buy a minimum quantity of the phone and to allow on their network.
It is an issue BlackBerry has to control. There are a lot of enterprise users with Verizon. That is all that matters; whether BlackBerry executes or not. I hope they do, I'm on Verizon.

I wasn't saying for Verizon, I was just saying one in general. I had yet to see any, for sale or anyone who owned one.

With all this time, I feel like verizon will make their own version of the class like at&t with the passport. Don't surprise if Verizon will introduce a square classic.

Yep. Pre owned but in perfect condition as far as I can tell. The only issue I am having so far is that it keeps telling me the network is busy when I am going to make a call, so I am getting a new sim.

I wonder if we will see the classic in more than 20% of corporate stores.

It has been mention that January 15 as the release date in the forums, but who really knows when it will be release. Thus far those that I talked to with Verizon did not know anything about the classic until I had to show them the tweet from Verizon announcing that they will be indeed be carrying the classic.

I'm hoping they announce it soon, been wanting this phone for quite sometime and all the reviews I've been reading have been making me want this phone even more. Hopefully VZW gets their heads out of the their asses and get the classic stat!

Chen has said in the statement quoted in this thread that Verizon will offer the Classic. Chill, fellow Crackberrians! The device will be available on our network.

Actually saw one for the first time here in the U.S. They are selling an unlocked version in B&H Camera Store in NYC. They also have the Passport.

I wish they had the Passport at launch I and I am sure a bunch of other people would have laughed at the thought of buying from ShopBB.

My point in an earlier post regarding an announcement was for them to announce a release date. Announcing it is coming is one thing. When it is coming is what we all are interested in.

The problem is these major phone carriers are finger-popping apple's and android's b-hole.. Those phones are great but not everyone wants them.. They better stock the classic and passport soon or I'm gonna lose it! Hopefully we hear a specific release date soon!

Interesting of note is that while AT&T has the exclusive on the Passport an article today said it just cleared the FCC and will be launched through business channels and may eventually be sold to consumers through AT&T.

They better not pull that sh1t at Verizon with the Classic. It better be in stores an available in all colors. That said...it won't be til March or April at best anyway.

I've stuck with BlackBerry. I've supported BlackBerry even after my 3rd Storm crapped out. I switched to the Z10 and it's been pretty good. However, with no Passport coming to Verizon, no Classic in the near future, no software update and apps from Amazon crashing if they open at all....I think I may be done.

Take it for what it's worth, but our Enterprise Support contact within BlackBerry stated late February or early March for the Classic and possibly the same time for the Passport. (he has been pretty close in the past, but I don't quite believe the Passport date)

    We shall see.

The $150 port credit for switching to Verizon if you sign up under the edge program is slated to end on January 31st, so I am hoping the classic is release before then.

Surely this means the classic will not ship before the 31st...it's Verizon.
