My wife's pearl's keyboard is becoming sticky and unresponsive. Its an alltell I got in February. Can I call teck or take it into the store and get a replacement/refurb on another 8130 since its been less than a year and has the manufacturer's warranty?

Has the device been exposed to any moisture? Even a little bit?

Wet hands, wet hair, steamy bathroom, sweaty pocket, high humidity environment?

    Dirt? Lint? Dirty hands, pocket?

Probably steam from the bathroom. The water sticker is still good.

Will VZW get a replacement or refurb? Not looking to get over, just a working phone.

Sounds like moisture damage on the keyboard contacts. The device can have moisture damage on the keyboard even if the moisture stickers don't show it.

If the technician looks at the contacts and sees moisture damage, it probably won't be covered under warranty.

But good luck. If you were to get a warranty replacement, it would be a refurb.
