All of those reports are stemming from the same reports & all are several months old, without updates.

They are purely speculative with no grounding in fact or reality.

I actually hope they ARE purely speculative with no grounding in fact or reality! Maybe then, the 8530 will turn into an 89xx and I can get a better upgrade to my 8330.

A Curve 8530 really doesn't seem like much of an upgrade to me and I am so looking forward to getting a new device. I was eligible for an upgrade as of July, but made no moves because I'm not interested in a Storm, and I don't like the keypad on the Tour.

Waiting patiently for a worthy upgrade....until then, it's me and the 8330.......

I agree - the 8530 will only further dilute the BlackBerry brand. The 8900 series would be much better.

That's because they want you to buy the Storm2, that will be available next month. And Verizon is letting you upgrade earlier Right now to get rid of there old inventory so they could make room for the new

That phone is a piece... Not really sure why anyone would want it in the first place...
Pretty much a Curve with an optical pad...

Well..... The Tour and 8900 actually have decent hardware upgrades to speak of over their previous model.... That 8530 has very little going for it....

my fingers are too big for the tour's keyboard and too dirty for the trackball. I really dont need my blackberry to do everything, mostly for work email and games.
