So I get a letter from Verizon today. It states that my Z10 may experience reduced data speeds in certain areas of Western Canada when I travel to Canada from the US.

They are offering me a $100 savings on select 4G LTE global-capable devices, like the iPhone 5C or 5S.

Even their website says the Z10 is 4G LTE global capable.

Dirty politics - think their headquarters must be Washington DC

No Verizon's headquarters is New Jersey. They just grease the palms around the DC area as usual.

LTE Roaming agreements are very rare. You are unlikely to get LTE while roaming from most carriers.
