    im a newb to crackberry.com and to the blackberry world.(have had my curve for about 6 months) i tried to download and use a golf gps software today and it says "gps not available". from everything ive read wonderful verizon has the feature locked. just wondering if there is a way around it.

    You have to either:


    -Buy a GPS puck to use with Bluetooth.

    -Get a Storm or Tour and use a free or paid GPS app

    It isn't that Verizon has the feature locked. Its that "true" GPS doesn't actually exist on that phone. You can't use GPS apps, with the exception of bbmaps snd VZNav on any blackberry before the storm, because a standalone GPS chip isn't installed. Hence the need for a puck
