So the news is now official that T-Mobile has 3G voice\data coverage in NYC. This is great except I am not sure that any blackberry's can support it I have an 8320 and I know it cannot handle 3G data.

    Finally, T-Mobile Launches a U.S. 3G Network

It seems there are no 3G phones for Tmobile yet! (well, 3 are available)

Does anyone have any information on when blackberrys will be 3G compatible on this network?

The 9000 is supposed to be the first 3G enable Blackberry. Only (4) 3G phones are available on TMo. Whats crazy is that TMo 3G uses different bands than the ATT 3G...we shall see.

I'm still holding the opinion that 3G doesn't matter until they can handle the bandwidth saturation problems on the trunks from the towers. OTA speeds going up is irrelevant if the tower can't handle the extra data.

So this is now confirmed that TMo's 3G is voice only, no data?

The 3g is 2100 mhz which differs from at&t's which is 850/1900mhz. The odd thing is that the 2100mhz that t-mobile is using is different from Japan and Korea so would be useless to get those phones.
