I just installed 5.0.0.323, went through the findings/fixes thread and noticed a few others were having problems with tethering. Has anyone come up with a solution to fix tethering yet? I'm having the same problem as this user below that I quoted. I know tetherberry works. Maybe I'll just buy it to see how speeds rate against my vzaccess manager.

For some reason VZaccess manager is not working for me, its like it starts over when saying configuring modem. Will say 9550 not connected then connected, configuring then not connected again, over and over.
Weather bug doesnt update on main screen,

Do a repair install of VZAccess Manager. Everytime I change OS's it spits errors at me for some reason. Do a repair and let it find your phone again and it works fine on .323.

If it don’t work after doing a reinstall of VZaccess manager, here is what I did to fix it.
Created a new dial up connection using the standard modem which should be the BB modem, then for username enter your phone number with area code and the password would be vzw and it connects just fine.
    Answering this while tethered. lol

thanks man, i wasn't sure how often you were on the forums since you don't have a lot of posts. Appreciate the reply, and i'll give it a try tomorrow since I'm at another building right now with no time to test tethering. I'll try the repair first and then I'll try the standard modem method

If arkfirefighters' solution doesn't work try disabling MTP mode in the memory settings. This worked for me without hiccup.

disable MTP didn't work, neither did setting up a modem for some reason, i've done the modem thing before but forgot about it.
no luck so i went back to .230 which i had no serious problems with.

Anyone find a solution for this? Seems like it is still an issue. (At least for me)

It's an incompatibility with VZAM 7.0.x, DM5.0 and OS5.0...I've read in other threads that if you have a copy of VZAM 6.9, it will work. Verizon's going to have to issue a new rev of VZAM to fix it.

arkfirefighter/cntrlwiz - Thanks for the reply. I'll download the new (old) software and give that a try.

One thing I have noticed...when I unistall VZAM, it uninstalls BBDM. Very frustrating.....

I posted this in another thread, but for me I had to double check and make sure that mass storage support was on and auto enabled mass storage when connected is set to yes. Once I did this, vzam found it right away.

This was also posted yesterday. An older version of VZAM seems to work for some. You can find a download link here:
