Hey, thought I start thread about download sites for this OS! I am downloading it now but i would love to gather all sites where we can get faster it than from blackberry site.

    Please post your links.

    9530AMEA_PBr4.7.0_rel172_PL4.0.0.153_A4.7.0.122_Be llMobility.exe @ Hotfile.com

    9530AMEA_PBr4.7.0_rel172_PL4.0.0.153_A4.7.0.122_Be llMobility.exe @ MEGAUPLOAD

    9530AMEA_PBr4.7.0_rel172_PL4.0.0.153_A4.7.0.122_Be llMobility.exe @ upmyload

For install instruction to load any OS on your BB:

    1. Download desired OS to your PC
    2. Install/run OS to PC
    3. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
    4. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
    5. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

Big bump for you on this. At first I thought my computer just did not like the Blackberry site, but the official site just crashed I think.

I notice that when you download it, it says "BellMobility"... If I am verizon, not bell, does it matter if i try to upgrade it or not?

Also, can someone send me the link on a step by step how to install? I found it before but now it seems to not exist when i look... :P

It says the file is 104.4 megs but when I downloaded from RIM it said download complete at 66.6. Is that right or just a bad omen?!

    My findings for this OS
    Memory went up by 3MB
    Faster app selection
    Faster typing
    Boot is about the same
    lock/unlock is automatic
    MMS WORKS !!
call quality is about the same
Keyboard while on a call shows the dial pad
    browser seems faster
camera is slower then the V3 hybrid but no big deal
no reboots "too early to tell"

I was wondering if I can load the OS to my Verizon Storm, or would we have to wait for the verizon version?. Btw this is my first post on crackberry.com from my storm...[/QUOTE]

You are much better off to choose one of the alternate sites at the beginning of this thread. I had a considerable time connecting with the BB site, but using the alternates was fast and reliable.

Install took about 45-60 minutes once downloaded and installed.
