So I downloaded the full version of .230
    Installed to my PC
    Deleted Vendor.xml file
    Ran apploader.exe

But apploader won't recognize .230 all i get is 2 of my apps to show up and I have an "add" and "remove" button on top.

Last night I did all the steps and upgraded to .148 just fine.

    What am I doing wrong?

    I have DM 4.7 FYI..

First, get DM 5 from BB's website.

Next, make sure all other versions of the OS are uninstalled from your PC.

    Hope this helps...

    Yeah that didn't work.

I even tried doing the update through DM (5.0) and it won't let me.

It has some asterisk saying that I must be a Blackberry Data Subscriber. I guess that must be why in apploader we delete the vendor file correct?

Still, any help will be appreciated.

Run the apploader as administrator (right click apploader and run as admin)

I'm on XP Pro so unlike Vista I don't have to worry about that, my user account has admin rights, ive also done a battery pull and nothing

Could the issue come from a bad version of the .230 OS?

unistall .230 from your pc and restart pc. load .230 back on and use apploader again. not saying it will work but its another option to see if it helps your issue.

Did you uninstall all other OSs and OS folders from your computer before you installed this one?

Issue got fixed, I had .148 on my PC so I installed .238 over it and apploader picked it up just fine.

My phone is working like it never has.

I have only found 2 issues.

    1. when i go to the main screen on top of all the icon tiles it shows my voicemail alert and mixed in it is the Name of what ever icon on click on, all mashed together.

    2. I have my mem card installed but I cannot get into my music , there is no icon for music.

    Any ideas?

Click on the screen, click BB button>show all

and check your other folders and do the same.

No that isn't it, but my main isuue is the lack of a music player in the Media folder.

I can go through my PC adn see all the songs on the phone, they were installed with the previous OS (.148) using the music sync program.
