Newbie, I'm looking at getting a Blackberry Storm and I went to the store and they said that there is a 29.99 additional fee for the data plan for blackberrys and they said that there is no way to get around it. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way around it? Like buying a unolocked one or anyother way. Thanks

If you put a BlackBerry on the Verizon network, they require a data plan. I don't know of a way around it.

Nope, no way around it. It's was created for a reason.
Internet for any non smart-phone is $15/month. With BB, it's $30 so it's an extra $15 more a month. It's not that bad since it's faster and you can get all your e-mail and stuff on it.
