    I recently posted a message on the site in Russian from my Z10 and it showed up as a series of question marks. I can send text and email messages in Russian with no problem. Am I doing something wrong?

    EDIT: I forgot to mention that I am able to type in Russian on other websites, for instance, reddit.com.

    Chances are you're tripping a filter on our site that blocks profanity from being posted. Not saying you're posting profane language, it's probably just confusing the filter Do you have the URL of your post? I'll check it out...

    A much easier method for typing in Russian is to take over someone else's keyboard.

    I'm not sure if that was Russian and I have no idea what I typed but that was from my BlackBerry it was that language just under Romanian.


    EDIT: I have a Z30 on 10.2.1.2141

    Yep, it's Russian. Not colloquial Russian, but that's not your fault. Google Translate still has a long way to go.

    Actually I just trusted the BlackBerry to pick words that would go together and just flick typed.

    This is an interesting one! Thanks all.

    As I do, will discuss with tech to see if there's a way we can fix. Suspect it has something to do with character sets. Supporting and fostering additional language discussion is something we want to do more of, for sure!
