    Hi all,

Is there a way to get in contact with someone who can check the mail logs? My crackberry email address appears to have stopped working, however the email account it forwards to is working without issue.

    Thanks!

I just enabled forwarding for my nick. Not sure if there is any sort of wait time needed for it to take effect. When I sent an email to bcitmike@crackberry.com, I immediately got:

This is the mail system at host gateway07.websitewelcome.com.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

    The mail system

    <bcitmike@crackberry.com>: host smtp.crackberry.com[166.70.42.6] said: 550
Unrouteable address (in reply to RCPT TO command)
Are you getting bounces, or just not delivered?

Has it been more than 3 days? Sometimes when mail servers reboot or whatever, mail that was attempted gets put into a queue to be retried. Sometimes its retried in seconds, sometimes minutes, and sometimes hours, up to about 3 days.

    Two issues here:
    1. There was a permission problem that prevented users from enabling the email forwarding. This has been fixed.
    2. As for the problem reported by OP, I checked the logs and the email server @wn.com.au doesn't like emails coming from @crackberry.com.

Your access to this mail system from 166.70.42.6 has been rejected due to the sending MTA's poor reputation
This is a known limitation with the way we have our forwarding service setup. Because the crackberry email server only forwards emails send by others, we receive a lower reputation value and thus sometimes rejected as in your case. We try our best to maintain a good reputation (ie. detecting and dropping spam), but it doesn't always work.

One workaround is to forward your email to a different email address (such as gmail, outlook, yahoo, etc), or you need to contact your email provider to whitelist the IP 166.70.42.6.

    Hey Tom,

Thanks for that! I expected it to be an RBL issue - I work in hosting myself .

No worries - looks like it's time to start forwarding to my GMail.

    Cheers!

PS, are there any others IPs you SMTP out via, or is this the only one?

I ask because I might just configure a local postfix to relay this on from a non RBL'd IP.

    Cheers!

I have it to forward to my domain hosted by gmail, and still doesn't work.

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

    Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain crackberry.com by smtp.crackberry.com. [166.70.42.6].

Try disabling and re-enabling your email forwarder. This should fix it.

I've made some changes to the email forwarder, namely implementing SRS (Sender Rewriting Scheme) and doing a better job at spam detection. Hopefully our server's reputation will improve and more of the legitimate email will get through.

Hey Tom. Glad to hear! Just wanted to check again on the IPS relayed from, as I play to relay this myself.

    Cheers!

I did as you suggested, and its getting through now. It did go into gmails spam "based on similar emails".

    Thanks

Mine is working fine being forwarded to my gmail account. Perhaps gmail is the way to go with our @crackberry.com accounts.

The forwarding also works fine with an outlook.com account for receiving the messages. However, it doesn't allow the same "send as" thaw way that Gmail does.
