I think it is a good decision to close threads anything to do with politics and religion.

At the end you can't have a decent discussion. It ends with hate, arguments and fights.

I once have seen a great Christmas movie. There was an old grumpy man on the table. And he said:

It is Christmas. Time for family. No politics and religion.

I took this advise and it works. Everytime I am invited to eat something I say 'no religion or politics. It is mostly ending in fights. Always.

I respect this decision.

I agree with "the no religion, no politics" threads. Keeping that in mind, EVERYTHING *is* political, from my religion to my choices of mobile phones, hair colour, car model, etc., etc. That said, I know what you mean.
The hard thing is keeping it all in perspective, using common sense (an oxymoron), and displaying respect in our viewpoints.

That makes this community so valuable. Simple rules. I am here for BlackBerry, fun talks and sometimes some First on articles.

No hate or fights. When it comes to religion and politics everybody has an opinion. I have never seen intelligents discussions about it.

They start cool and end up in amazing fights. Best with popcorn to watch. But seriously. This works best.
