What about. Thread of the Day? Surely if you go through the whole forums there must be a worthwhile thread someone on each day.

January 31st could have a whole write up on the Z10 and launch of BlackBerry 10 and how many users still rock their Z10.

If TPTB so choose of course.

Indeed... excellent ideas but I doubt that they there will be anything that changes . I regret that because I loved reading the articles on CrackBerry but now... there is nothing to choose from.

I agree, loved reading about BB10 things even if its something I should have known already. Based on comments, many forget or do not know about things " we should already know" or " that isn't worth posting again "

BB10 is where BBOS was three years ago... and back then BlackBerry still had 60 million BBOS users, that for the most part CrackBerry just started ignoring. But then there was nothing new about BBOS to report.

Like it or not BB10 is history.... in other words it is old news. And CrackBerry is a news and information site, that is paid for by ad generated revenues. I bet they know what stories generate page views and what stories don't. And they know that reposting an old story, would only hurt them in ranking.

I'd like an article about how OS's get released that break people's Z30 screen or have a messed up Android RT where you can't delete apps. How does this happen and why don't they release a fix? Even if the fix is the previous OS why would they continue releasing something that is garbage?

I'd like an article about BlackBerry's crappy ads too. Is something really better than nothing.?

Good parallel between BBOS and how they were ignored by crackberry and what we are seeing now. Basically the same thing is happening with Priv being launched and bb10 getting minimal coverage.
But the worst is really the low volume of articles... no matter what they are about.

Yes, bb10 is moving towards being history but Crackberry is following suit

Because there are just fewer people interested in the subject of BlackBerry.... even selling 700K devices a quarter I bet we lose a million users a quarter

I imagine most sales today of BB10 devices are to existing BB10 customers or the corporations where the phones will be so locked down... nothing on CrackBerry would really be of much use.

It's kinda like the WebOS site... at some point the home page will be all forum post. While BlackBerry may or may not survive as a software only company... I doubt CrackBerry will be the go to place to talk about Good or Athoc. But I expect we have at least another year of hardware before that happens.

Reposting useful information generates comments from MANY USERS old and new.
Search engines that are designed to find sites with current and relevant "news" type articles... will score CrackBerry badly if they start reposting a bunch of old information on their main landing pages over and over.

And even if Bla1ze reposted something like "How to install Google Play on your BB10 device".... a good portion of the comments would be negative.

If the software running the Priv is going to phase out BB10 devices, there will be no point in CrackBerry then.

That's what happens when the only thing about BlackBerry is security on android.

The Priv then becomes an android phone and issues arising with android are already brought up in Android Central, for example.
There are already a slew of articles around Priv.

Because the interface is Android, we have to accept that Android on BlackBerry is NOT BlackBerry.
That's the perception consumers will adopt.

And it won't matter that BlackBerry may still have the onus to repair or replace the hardware since consumers go back to the providers, therefore, the original point of sale for the initial consultation.
Thus making the point of support for those hardware problems so transparent that BlackBerry remains unnamed even at the level of hardware repair.
Had BlackBerry done like Apple Stores for point of contact, but that is not the case.

    Security is a back-end infrastructure.
The interface as a front-end is what matters to the consumer.

And there is no problem with the Priv as such as it may be a good phone offering improved security.

But the fact that security as a selling point for BlackBerry 10 (amongst other things) has failed to make it desirable, that's not what people care about.

People seem to think they have a Samsung, an HTC, an LG, or a Sony even though they are all running Android that are carrier-serviced.

Each manufacturer brings something different to the table with their launchers and hardware.

BlackBerry brings security, a physical keyboard, and a very sweet launcher in my opinion.

Plenty of room on Crackberry for all of that.
