I just got an email from Crackberry claiming someone has been trying to login to my account and has been blocked from trying for a set amount of time due to too many tries. An IP address was provided.

Do I need to do something?

    Real email?

That seems like @Bla1ze question or at least to get pointed in right direction

Indeed. @Emaderton3, forward me the email so I can check the legitimacy of it and take a look at the IP. bla1ze @ crackberry.com

    Dear yamahammer,

Someone has tried to log into your account on BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 24.78.52.85

    All the best,
Me too, it shows my IP address..

Thanks for that but I need to see where it is coming from or where it says it is coming from. We do have a mechanism that will send emails like that but I'm not sure of the exact verbiage.

I just got the same email, and the IP address belongs to my ISP as well. I don't know if it's my gateway, but i can still get to the site, obviously.

This issue was confirmed and has now been resolved.

1). No one was logging into your accounts, as evidenced by you being sent your own IP addresses.
2). It was an issue with the login system not working correctly and sending out the emails erroneously.

I appreciate you all alerting me and bringing it to my attention, thank you for that and sorry for the inconvenience.

Done. In my scrolling on the screen, I did accidentally click on the IP which opened a browser. Any risk?
