Marking Reported SPAM Threads Idea

Folks,

Lately when I report a thread as Spam I mark the thread as having been reported so as not to overload the moderators with reports of the same thing. Does this thing sound like a good idea, or would the Mods & Admins rather have multiple reports. It really only makes sense to do it with SPAM as rude or harassing posts are often subject to different interpretations, and multiple reports is probably desirable there.

Is this something we should consider adding to the rules, or as a suggestion for the reporting of Spam? Food for thought. :)

EDIT: Obviously once someone sees that a thread has been reported as Spam then they would know that they don't have too. :)
