So from now on mods, please don't suggest to users they are failing to use the site correctly. It doesn't work. And as for the emails - those are unwanted spam, plain and simple.
This needs to be off - https://forums.crackberry.com/profil...do=editoptions

These need to be set as you see fit - https://forums.crackberry.com/userta...action=options

And these need to be adjusted, when using the 'CrackBerry Forums' - https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...breey.activity app.

The CrackBerry app itself - https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...crackberry.app, only has one setting for notifications.

Thanks bla1ze for posting. After looking into the options I'm going to try going the route of using the dedicated apps for the forums to which I have subscribed. The dedicated apps seem to support better controls than Taptalk, which is what I use currently.

    Cheers!

So, a few things I noticed so far.

There are actually two different places in the user control panel (accessed by Web browser) where various notification emails are turned off. For quote notification emails, one is under "general settings", the other under "user tagging". I am assuming both would need to be set to OFF. Still not sure if it actually works though, I guess I'll find out soon enough. I also did the same on my Android Central account, just in case a conflict there may have led to an issue. Kind of a pain actually we need a different panel at all and the settings don't carry over, given they are almost identical - but such it is at the moment.

As for the quote notifications setting itself - I am still puzzled by this one. I have no idea why it exists and what it is supposed to accomplish. As I said, mine has always been set to OFF. So I am hoping the " block user" field will take care of the problem. I'll find out soon enough, I'm sure. At any rate, I only ever wanted to block notifications from certain users, and that is definitely not an option at this point. It's either all or nothing. Still a problem, IMHO.

In conclusion, which app I use, and whether I use Tapatalk or not seems to have minimal impact. Although I must say some forums have a much slicker and content rich interface. In CB and Android Central's case, the difference between what you can see and do in Tapatalk versus the forums app itself is minimal to non-existent. Kind of shame really, but that's mobile nations problem to solve not mine.
