The volume appears to be very high, but it's not just about a new device, it's also about moving to Android, the impending end of BB10, about BlackBerry as a company, and John Chen as CEO.

I won't name names, you know who you are. But just look at how many that feel the need to go in every damn Priv thread and repeating "I will not buy Android".

Way too many redundant Priv threads that really need to be consolidated. A whole lot of clutter.

The passport "hype" was only in BB circles (which is a very small circle). The Priv hype has now reached the Android circle which and so far it's pretty good.

Yes, and apparently, there'll be some small OLED selfie screen on the back as well. So I heard...

And is it a curved screen? does it have a notification light? can I upgrade my Z30 to Android? how long will the battery last? when will it be available in my location? is it secure? how secure is it? etc.

Well, I am not going to say it's the same for Passport, but there were also lots of discussions not related to Passport before it was released... things like Z50, no marketing, etc. etc.

Good to know the volume is high though.

Another question, does new user signup rate change a little bit for Crackberry after Priv is announced?

The good thing is the percentage of naysayers is dwindling the closer it get to launch date. Same one forgot what they said.

Just like eating a fine steak or lobster, until you've tried it you won't buy it.
