Is it just me, or does everyone receive TWO emails if using the subscription option for threads? I'm subscribed to various threads, and when people post, I always get two emails...
I wonder if it's sending 1 to my 'registered' email address, and 1 to my crackberry email address?
Is there a 'specific' location to enter an address for notifications? I presumed that it was sending the notification to the 'email' address that one registered with?
Now, I do have my crackberry email being forwarded to the same email address I registered with. That's why am wondering if that's what's causing the 'dupe' email issue...
This is so strange, now, on this particular thread am not getting emails. For example, kasperapd replied at 09:38, but I received no email, yet my subscription is set to 'instant'...
Nonetheless, I will review it on other threads to see what gives...
ps: I just want my BlackBerry to vibrate 24/7 - LMAO!
I subscribed to this thread and have been getting notifications with no problems. I'm guessing it may just be the email account you were having them sent to. Did you check your junk/spam folder?
Our tech guy comes back tomorrow (he's been gone the past 5 days). I'm not sure what the scoop is on this, but will have him look into it. I'm thinking something must have got buggered up with your initial registration process. The way we have this site built, we have two content management systems integrated into each other - vbulletin for the forums, and then another for the main site. When you register with CrackBerry.com, you only register once...and then the system is supposed to be smart enough to automatically register you for the second. Likewise, when you visit the site and login/logout, the site is supposed to be smart enough to do both at once.
I think we still have a few bugs to workout...it's working properly 98% of the time, but that 2% of the time I'm not sure what's up. Have some patience with is us - we're going to get it sorted out. It's probably just one or two lines of code out of 100,000 causing the issues.
I'll have Tom check your actual user account tomorrow - maybe it's something that's actually a fairly easy fix.
We'll get to the bottom of it! I appreciate the patience!
