    I want to change my avatar to a photo of my PC. I took the photo in portrait mode, since it's a desktop mid-tower PC. When I try to upload the photo, it changes the orientation to landscape mode. As a result, I can't use that particular photo since it would look stupid. What's going on with the photo uploads? Will this be fixed?

    Maybe rotate the picture by 90 before uploading?

    Crop it to 1:1?

    Increase the width of your canvas (not of your picture) to 1 pixel wider than the height.

    Make the background of your canvas black, grey or whatever colour you would like.

    If you don't know how, I can do it for you.
