This is my second week with the classic, found my life mate in the classic. After its premium build quality it's smooth OS and fluid keyboard, those competitor phones are just plastic paper weights. In my opinion blackberry nailed it, $567.00cnd unlocked after taxes well worth the cash. What's your opinion I'd like to hear it. Lots more to detail but you must already know if you own one.

My favorite BlackBerry to date. Price was a bit high but I was willing to pay it.

The Classic sends me back to the days of the 9000 "feel" wise. When I hold this phone in my hands, I know I've got solid technology with me.

I don't have one to compare with me now but is the Classic and Bold 9000 the same weight?

I don't have my 9000 on me either anymore, but trust me it is much lighter than the Classic. 9000 came in at 136grams and I believe the classic is at 177grams (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) I used to take apart my 9000 many a time to change housing and the materials aren't quite the same as what the classic is working with (think battery haha)...I do miss that leather back cover of the 9000 tho

I haven't used one yet but currently I want my phone to help me make more money and faster, and be able to do other things faster, more convenient, etc.

I find typing on BlackBerry 10 virtual keyboard to be virtually perfect and super fast, but sometimes there are issues and even though I might type slower on a physical keyboard, I think the probability of typing more accurately on a physical keyboard is worth it.

That, plus it's track pad for editing text will save time.

The physical call / phone button and end button will save time.

Probably the physical BlackBerry / menu and back keys will too.

The key abordar shortcuts will definitely save time. Among other things like more convenient, etc.

Another big one to me is less distractions. Those type of phones, to me at least, makes it feel to me that it's a productivity phone. So, less time wasting. Also, no 16:9 means no wasting time watching videos. Among other things. Those are huge to me.

Only thing is BlackBerry Assistant. With 16:9 phones, you press the search button and boom. With 1:1 phones, you have to press the app or hold media button. I know you can bring it up by typing but not if you wanna talk to it.

I'm one of the last people you would hear it from, but with the new 10.3.2072 and all the things John Chen has done to improve the BB10, it is now the best phone I have used. And it will only get better.

I officially retired my 9900 as a second phone. Took the battery out and packaged back in the original box. RIP

Sure it is missing some things the 9900 had but the plus far out weighs those short comings.

I feel the same, although it only took me half a day to realize it
The device is more or less perfect for my needs. As always some things could be better, but in terms of size, keyboard and usability it is awesome.

Or the 0 button which would be close to the search icon on a all touch bb10

I often use the Classic and scream inside "Why can't I do this?!!". There is PLENTY of room for improvement on the Classic.

That said, as it is, its still the best phone for getting work done.

Good machine there. Have been eyeing the passport but I think like the classic should I get my hands on one. One is the 8mp shooter on the back? Is it better than the 13MP shooter of the passport?

IMHO the Classic focuses faster and, personally, I do not see much of an advantage of those additional five MP. I guess the new camera module of the Passport still needs some software improvements before it starts to shine.

Hopefully not double-typed with my Q10

Very close indeed! As per GSMArena.com's spec sheets, the 9000 weighed in at 133g (4.69oz) and the Classic weighs in at 177g (6.24oz).

The passport camera takes breathtaking pictures when the focus works right. And on the latest 10.3.1 I've heard the focus issues are mostly fixed

The classic has the same camera as the other BlackBerry 10 phones. It's a great camera but not on the level of the passport. Though initially the software was better optimized

Hey jaydee, If I am not wrong I think you are still using your Z30 right? Why do you need to get classic? Unless you want a physical keyboard. Then I can completely understand it.
