I found An easter Egg or hidden feature today in The BB10 OS.
When you add a folder in your file manager, it could be in Dropbox or Memory card or Device. If you name the folder "BlackBerry", it would have that BlackBerry sign on it.
Pretty neat don't you think? =-D

    I'm running 10.2.1 on my Z30.

It is actually used with OneDrive with automatic photo backup. Very funny indeed.

Perhaps it does the same when you name a folder camera or video or one of the other standard folder names.

I'm not familiar with that particular folder view. Where are you capturing that from?

When I use the native file manager in 10.2.1.2228, the folders do not look like that, nor do I get a BlackBerry logo when I create a folder and name it "BlackBerry".

In file manager just press that icon next to 'search'. Mine is always like that.

Nope. He said he's running 10.2.1, also no PIN watermarks. Plus, music icons are blue with a musical note in 10.3.

First of all thats apparently the dark theme that only comes by default on the AMOLED devices, not my Z10s.

But my Z10s have a "halo" or "shadow" around the icons that doesn't have anything to do with color per-se, and I have textual labels that don't appear on that design.

Maybe it's all just dark theme and Q10 vs light theme and Z10...

Looks to me the only difference is the grey background on each icon - light on Z10, dark on Q and Z30. That's just viewing with the naked eye, examination by image editor might say otherwise.

It's only working on root directory of external storage, not applicable in sub folder. Since we are not able to write root directory of device storage (add new folder or copy onto it) so, I don't think you can make a folder with BlackBerry logo on device storage.

And that IS the answer - it does work if I make the folder in one place: root of memory card.

But the weird thing is - the example posted by the OP did not look like it was the root folder. I think I was fooled because he is probably not using the default "by name" default sort type. Otherwise there would have been a bunch of default folders showing between "BlackBerry" and the other folders. Unless he deleted them.

Op here, you are right. it only works in the root. And I created mine in my Dropbox section. Not my media card. Thats why it looks that way.
