This is a reference thread to document the different models and network bands for the Z30. Similar Z10, Q10, Q5, Passport and Classic threads are located here, here, here, here and here, respectively.

A few general notes:

1. Consult the chart above first, then the list of "Partially Compatible Carriers" below, if necessary. A phone model is best suited for the carriers listed in the chart, not in the list. For example, while the STA100-3 will work on T-Mobile in some places, the STA100-5 is a better choice as it will work on T-Mobile everywhere.

2. This thread is a work in progress, and may not yet be complete. It will be updated frequently. Usually, my source of most information are BlackBerry manuals, but all models don't have manuals yet. So my current sources are carrier listings, BlackBerry's official manuals (the ones that are up,) and FCC filings. As more manuals are made available, I will double check everything and update as necessary.

3. How this works: click to enlarge the image, and then compare your networks' bands to figure out which model of the Z30 is best for your use. There may be more than one model that is fully compatible with your carrier. If a Z30 model has all the bands for a carrier's main network frequencies, that carrier will appear in the"Compatible Carriers" list next to that model. In addition to the "Compatible Carriers" column in the chart, there is a "Partially Compatible Carriers" section as well. If a model has some but not all bands a carrier operates on, that carrier will be listed in the "Partially Compatible Carriers" list below the chart. At the very least, all Z30 variants are quad-band GSM, so they will work on all GSM (2G) networks.

4. This is a community driven thread. So if you buy a Z30 and would like to chime in with potential compatibility information, please feel free to do so, and I will update the OP. I won't edit the list of "Compatible Carriers" unless I'm provided with solid proof (carriers' websites confirming bands/sub-models, other semi-reputable printed sources such as Wikipedia, etc.)

I find it hard to believe that there is no model in there that supports Verizon's CDMA2000/IS95 network on ~800Mhz.

So I think that list is at the very least, incomplete.

You know...looking at the Q10 thread, both Sprint and Verizon Q10s say CDMA 800/1900, so I wonder if there was a typo wherever Bla1ze got it from.

I'll add it to my mental list of things to fix

Thanks. Bla1ze's comment didn't have 6-8 listed, and if you look closely, 2 and 9 have the same set of bands. His comment said that the 9 was possibly China bound, so we'll see.

You're likely right since my Verizon Z10 is an STL100-4 model and they've also confirmed Z30 will be on their network. My bet is that they're in the STA100-4 boat. Keeps it consistent...

The unit I got to see had verizon branding on it. It was running on the rogers network. Damn fast too!

STA100-5 is confirmed as well. I have no clue which region it's bound for. I just stuck Vivo and Claro in there (they are fully compatible, though.)

It could be I'm not all that familiar with Rogers' LTE deployments, but I do know that they have a LTE 2600 network, in addition to the LTE 1700 network. How well 2600 covers their coverage area, I don't know, which is why I didn't put Rogers as a compatible carrier for the -2.

Yeah...none of the announced ones do currently. But you know what? Rogers' Q10 does not have the 1700 band either, and I haven't heard people complaining about lack of LTE, from which I infer that Rogers' LTE 2600 network must be pretty vast.

The column in the image is Compatible Carriers, which means that the networks listed are fully (2G through LTE) compatible with the phone model everywhere that network exists in the country. The list below is of Potentially Compatible Carriers, which means that the phone is compatible, only if certain conditions are met. So for the -2, it is fully compatible with UK carriers, but only compatible with, say, AT&T's 3G/HSPA+ networks. I hope that clears things up.

No. The STL100-2 has 2600, while STL100-3 has 1700 (we're talking about LTE bands.) But here's the thing: the Rogers-sold Z10 is the -3 while their primary Q10 is the SQN100-3, which has the 2600 MHz LTE band and no 1700 MHz band.

There is a -6, and it does not have the Chinese/Indian TD LTE band.

The -9 may have been cancelled (at least according to Bla1ze)

Moreover, -2 looks to be the one bound for India.

-1 is RFV121LW
-2 (Astro) is for EMEA and it works with Videocon in India. I have no idea why they have an extra entry on that page, they link to the same document.
-3 is Verizon and also has CDMA. RFX101LW
-4 is RGB141LW
-9 (AstroX) has the same specs as -2, but maybe the software will look different. No certification, probably because it's the same device.
-6 (Argos) is a mystery because it has not gone through the FCC yet, so it's impossible to see which phone they're really talking about. All I know is that it used to have these extra LTE bands and that it's now been wiped from the OS, so I'm wondering how they're planning on launching it, unless it was a glitch.
In the safety document, it seems to be a pentaband version of 2, so maybe they're re-using the -2 platform with a different radio and it's not the -6 from the OS.

OK, I've looked at something more recent and they did switch -9 and -6, probably in order to not have a jump in model numbers.
So Argos is cancelled and -9 has been removed.
AstroX is now -6 and is a -2 with an extra LTE band.

Only listings close to finalized I would say are the -2, -5, and -6. Everything else is still subject to change. The 4 and 7 LTE bands not being together seemingly has become a norm for the "higher end" devices, rather than the exception. The Q10 was like this too.
