Summary:
This app facilitates the reading of Qu'ran for Muslims using BB10 to get a smooth and fluid native experience.

It includes translations in several languages (Bengali, English, French, Indonesian, Malaysian, Somali, Thai, Turkish, Urdu, and more coming) as well as the original Arabic version. There also is a transliteration version to help you with the pronunciation. There is built-in support for bookmarking a verse and a surah to quickly pick up where you left off reading. There is also easy access to copying certain verses to make it easy for you to share it with your contacts.

Upgraded the application today. Now it's got extra text on each Surah. I think it might be the tafseer/explanation but I can't find a way to switch it off.

Do you have a "Translation" set in the dropdown in the Settings? Or is it switched to "Off"?

Our tester reproduced the issue and we just submitted the fix with v1.5.1.0 to BlackBerry World. You should get the update as soon as it is approved, thank you for letting us know of the bug.

1) Add support for invocation as a card and as an app to open specific surahs, verses, and Ibn Katheer Tafsir. 2) Bug-fix: Remove highlight on active in Tafsir ibn katheer. 3) Add agreement information to let users know about fonts. 4) Add bug-report icon. 5) Minor padding and alignment fixes. 6) General software refactoring. 7) Add downloads remaining progress bar for recitation downloads instead of annoying popup toasts. 8) Support added for both Uthmani as well as Simple arabic. 9) Update help page. 10) Add more tutorials. 11) Additional tafsir for verses as well as surahs. 12) Added mushaf browsing. 13) New feature: Allow jumping to specific ayat/chapters by putting in the numeric input into the text field. 14) Recitations now works for range, play from here, and play all. 15) Used tabbed pane view instead. 16) Allow multiple bookmarks and show bookmarks count. 17) Support for variable font sizes for both primary and translation text. 18) Performance: Playlist generation and download algorithm is more efficient and involves less lookups. 19) Abort the download requests when application exits. 20) Don't show Basmalah for Surah Tawbah as well as Surah Al-Fatiha. 21) Play from here feature added. 22) Only show english tafsirs if the translation language is English. 23) Fix silent errors where blank chapterID lookup was being done. 24) New feature: Highlight the verses which have tafsirs available. 25) Update bookmark asset. 26) Fixed bug where search with arabic-only would not work. 27) Move Tafsir Ibn Katheer into its own page. 28) Use the dual channel player for improved playback performance and to reduce awkward pauses. 29) Scene cover is now lazily created and destroyed to improve battery by not waking up device when scene cover is not in view. 30) Pause/resume feature added during playback. 31) Battery saving algorithm added to prevent unnecessary screen updates while the app is minimized or asleep. 32) Remove animations setting.

Thanks for the app and have donate it sometime ago, but after the latest update the normale surah doesn't load at all.


It does load all the other options like Tafsir etc.
