Well ... Are u sure u didn't : accidentially 'turn off' MOBILE CONNECTIONS ?? (Only bc the Red X is usually indicitve that UR sms / mms did NOT send ... (Hav seen this happen) ~ but as far as Rec. Pics : go and Check this (2 start) :
> open sms/mms
>  key
> options
> Scroll down
First is 'General Text Settings'
Then "SMS' and finally,to double chek ur settings, ESP. ur "MMS" SETTINGS :
"MMS" :_____________________[Set to]:__________(ddep. On ur "PLAN")
�*"MULTIAMEDIA RECEPTION" : (ALWAYS)...Or:'Never'/'Home Only' = ur choice)'
�*"AUTOMATIC RETREIVAL" : (ALWAYS)
I hope THIS helps and jis ma Be simple as a slipped finger to TURN connections off by mistake - and possibly with MMS - mayb jis a "setting" ... Good Luck!! (Nothing to Lose, right??) )

I'm having this same problem. Not connected to BB data at all. Using 3G data on my mobile plan. Red X is on all MMS I try to send and no MMS are rec'd.

I just picked up a Torch 9810 and got the 3G data working. Browser works fine. MMS works but still not able to send or receive messages. Can see the send icon working, whereas it didn't even try before I restored the service books from Tai Tran's Blog » How to use 3G on Blackberry Torch 9800 OS6 without using BIS/BES But still no MMS.
