This hybrid is an add on for 9700 .656, using parts of the OS .692 for the 9650. All I have to say about this hybrid is... Wow.

DO NOT USE SHRINK-A-OS OR REMOVE OTA UPDATES. IT WILL CAUSE NUMEROUS ERRORS. This build is extremely fragile, as .656 is a very thin base, so make sure you don't delete anything necessary to the OS itself when removing files... be careful or else this won't work!

This OS has taken over 6 hours to make, so please donate to support my work, and help me pay for college!

    FEATURES:
    - Faster browser
    - Fast Camera
    - Faster OS and Media
    - Really fast bootup
    - No memory leak
    - Fixes SMS freezing issue!
    - Should fix grainy picture issue. If it doesnt, go on your computer and delete all the .dat files from your memory card and try again
    - Awesome bluetooth

you said wow.....as in wow good i take it? Sounds like this is better than your V5.0 (which it sounds like you didn't care for too much anyway). How does this compare to your V4.8?

Hey! I like v5! I just don't care for os .656... but I'm starting to like it now. Can't tell so far as to whether or not v4.8 was better, but I purely like 4.8 because of it's stability, speed, battery life, and base OS.

v5.2 seems to be stable and it is extremely fast. Like blazing fast. Time will tell for battery though.

Is it possible to "upgrade" from v5 to v5.2? I copied the java folder, but when I connect my blackberry the only thing it says needs updating is English UK support.

    I'm trying it anyway...

--edit-- Seems like that worked great. Thanks!!

That was a question I had. I have 656 already on my device, if I load the hybrid on my PC and connect will it replace the appropriate files? Or should I just do.a full wipe anyway to be safe?

You can just reload, or do a full wipe. Either will work

So PC, just DLed the V5.2 hybrid and installed it on my PC. What will happen if I strip out some things (like Voice Activated Dialing, default backgounds, videos, etc.)? Assuming since those don't matter normally that all will be well, but just want to check before I brick my phone. Thanks!

Ok I'm now running this and not sure why but my UMA is now working like it should. So far the thing I love the most is the browser speed. I can really notice a speed difference with this one. Will report back tomorrow after I have a day on it. Thanks PC!
