I recently switched devices from an OLD BBQ10 to a newer less beat-up Blackberry Q10
I'm having a problem with Yahoo! Mail. I don't have 2 step verification and I have set up the app password in Yahoo, but it's not working. I'm getting the following messages. Need help with setting up Yahoo email on BBQ10-whatsapp-image-2021-07-22-13.21.19.jpegNeed help with setting up Yahoo email on BBQ10-whatsapp-image-2021-07-22-13.21.13.jpeg

Any tips on how to get it to work?

Are you using the automatic setup or the manual one in HUB?

I'd try both, search Yahoo for the server settings - or look on your old phone.

Also redo the setup for less secure apps or app password.

HUB is less secure app so there is a setting in Yahoo I think to set and then you also have to have app specific password and even then Yahoo has been really hard to add for people.

I do have the app specific password set in Yahoo & I do allow the less secure app login. As I mentioned before, I have been using BlackberryQ10 since 2013 & now I switch to a newer less beat-up BBQ10. Yahoo works perfectly on the old phone & I copied the settings directly. However nothing seems to work. I've been messing around with this all day.

I could be wrong but I think you have to set up 2FA from your PC or another device to get the password and then plug that into your Q10 yahoo account. There is a topic devoted to Yahoo setup somewhere here on the forums. Do a search here for that.

UPDATE: I'm able to syn/connect the Yahoo Mail calendar server via: caldav.calendar.ymail.com and the Yahoo Mail contacts server via: carddav.address.ymail.com using the Yahoo app generated password. They sync perfectly & work just fine. Yahoo is still an issue.
