So, Today I went to use my maps to look something up to see how far it was. It didnt load at all. It then popped up saying unable to connect. Check your internet connection (Error 2001) It felt like the same issue that the BB world was having.

Has anyone figured out a fix or anyone having the same issue?

what version are you on? I never updated it as in. I never fixed the BB world so if that updates the app. Than I didnt do that.

You will need to find another supported app either way. BBMaps probably will not survive the BB purge.

I fixed BB world. The only app updates were BBM and some developer testing tool... No BB Maps.

The only guess Iv got atm. Is that its under maintenance temporarily down?

Maps still works on my Z10. It's not on a carrier anymore though, just over wi-fi.

Although, I seem to have lost traffic. It was still reading traffic about a month ago.

Download to PC, unzip, plug in phone, run autoloader. Your phone will be wiped.

Also...

BB Maps only updates with the OS. I don't think it's ever updated through BBW. So, if it corrupted itself somehow, using the autoloader may be the only fix.

The actual mapping information used to be from TomTom, and that deal has long expired. I have some neighborhoods in my area that are years old now that are still not showing up on BB Maps. I don't know the traffic source, but as I mentioned above, that seems to be gone too. But someone else will have to check if it's everywhere, or just my area.

I just wiped and updated my phone. I skipped the BBID stuff. I went straight to Maps.... Its not working. Its just blank and the locate me button is infinite loading. No maps is loading nor is there any type of search results. As if the maps app has zero internect connection.

I guess maps is dead? Its weird since @joeldf shows his working and such. I have had issues with Maps in the past but the last time I used it. It worked. It just had isses locating me and being able to set up navigation.

Maybe. It doesnt work on LTE or WiFi. Both result in the same issue. I sure do hate Verizon... I wish carriers didnt have any sort of control over the phones they sold.

Yes, mine hasn't worked for 2 days over the AT&T network or via home WiFi (device is BB Classic running OS 10, release 10.3.3.2127). I get a variety of errors in multiple parts of Atlanta:
No Network Connection
Maps - There is a problem communicating with the server. Try again later. (2001)
and something like "can't access saved places" earlier today.

After checking the website I assumed they've killed Maps earlier than the rest of the services that will all be gone at the end of the year.
