This has to do with the default calling/phone app that comes with the BlackBerry Key2. For me, its been extremely buggy ( blocked a phone number from it and it's been very jumpy) and lagging as of late, and since its a default app, I don't know if there's a way I can either replace it OR re-install/refresh it so it work better

You can try to manually install the patched Google Dialer. I've used that on all my BlackBerry android devices and it works very well.

This is what I did as well. Much better phone app. I think it is a patched version for os9 that works on os8 or something like that. Looks the same as on my wifes phone who has the newer os.
