Hi,
I bought three battery last month from ebay and Amazon, none of them were working, fake battery or faulty old battery...
Do you know where I should find a proper 9900 battery without spend a fortune? (I would pay £5ish).

If it were a "real" 9900 battery then it's going to be old... as I doubt BlackBerry has made any of those in six years or more.

You will struggle to get a new 9900 battery in 2018, and if you are only prepared to spend £5 ... it will almost certainly be a fake.
Last time I looked Amazon UK had some JM1 replacements manufactured by Duracell - might be worth trying, but will probably exceed your £5 limit.

I have bought several authentic blackberry batteries for my 9900 over the last few years but I recommend buying at least a couple because some of them are dead and beyond recovery. Sometimes they can be revived but sometimes not yet. Remember they been sitting in warehouses for years.

Any new JM1 would be several years old now and the power may get to low to start taking a charge.
The battery you bought might not be fake at all and a jump start may help. Google for how to jump start a battery. Or you could try with a 1.5A or higher charger.

An used battery often has some scratches on the face of the contacts. You can check it on the next battery you buy, tilt it around will help to see the marks.
