The screen is all back although it seems to be working as the light sometimes flashes. I have tried the soft reset by holding the up and down volume button for 10 seconds but it has not solved the problem. Anybody ever had that problem?

Reload your OS, it'll probably spring back to life. Not sure how the flight would be related though. Ha!

This is strange but reminds me of an inflight 'incident' with my white Bold. The alt key had been stuck for weeks. But up in the air it fixed itself lol. That made me so happy. Back on the ground however it went back to being stuck . I switched back to the trusty 9720 soon after.
