    Why YT isn't working in background? I remember in 2016 when I had a passport it worked?

    its the result of Youtube Red. the paid Youtube service which has background play as one of its benefits. Google now uses server code to prevent mobile browser from background play on free Youtube.

    I have found that when using the mobile version in my browser if I select a video and swipe up out of the app before the video starts then it will play in the background. I'm listening to a video on youtube as I type this. Not sure if this is a one off on my device or if it will work for others but it works for me every time.

    Tried this..but not working...but I found out if we are using bing as the default search engine and check out a video, it plays in the background nonetheless if we minimise it before or after loading...

    Download zeus browser from bbw and use in it. It plays in background.
