I have an old 9700 on OS5. It is password locked, so I have to enter the password every single time I turn on the phone, even if it goes to sleep for one second. In the settings, the option to disable password is greyed out. Is there a way to bypass this? I tried an OS reboot but it didn't work.

I suspect that this BlackBerry must have been an enterprise device in a former life. I may not be able to bypass password, but just asking anyway for thoughts.

Thank you very much! It worked like a charm. IT policy is wiped out and Blackberry loads up so much faster now!
