I have two Storms that I want to factory reset.

The touchscreen on one of them is on but doesn't always respond so I am unable to use the screen/keyboard to complete the wipe process. The other one turns on but has a completely dark screen.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

P.S. For Storm #1 - I tried placing a piece of paper/business card behind the battery. Didn't work. Actually made the screen less responsive. For Storm #2 - I tried rubbing a magnet across the back and that didn't work.

Reload the OS... that will wipe the phones and install new OS. But sounds like just old hardware that has gone bad.

For what it's worth, I had a case on my storm that I realized was interfering with the physical movement of the screen. Once I removed it, the storm typed normally again.

I've found that older BlackBerry phones sometimes work again after an OS reload, too.

I've heard that sometimes dust gets under the storm screen. If you can disassemble and clean under the screen, maybe it will work again too.
