If any one so loves the beauty of the classic BB, simply use it for a few app like textings, whatsapp ( that is downloaded from whatsApp website), e mail especially, and for calls, yes it is good and that is what I use this BB classic as second phone . Definitely not for browsing because screen is too small. The only handicap is its battery!

I loved everything about my Classic except for its speed. It just wasn't snappy enough as a BB10 device, so I moved onto my current Passport Silver Edition. The OP might want to consider a Passport.

If you want one and have a few extra dollars. Why not.

Personally I have never wanted two phones.

Yeah there really isn't any point to owning two.

To the OP, now that you're not getting a Passport, are you willing to go with another carrier to use a Classic? The Classic is not compatible with the Sprint network.

You work flow may not be what someone else's work flow is.

I carry two phones and I think it works best for me.

I use my Classic/Passport as my main device and then I use an ipad/iPhone to supplement apps.

It really comes in use sometimes.

Instead of having 2 phones I've also adopted the phone / tablet combo where I used to have all the apps I needed on both and now I use the apps I need on my phone (which I switched back to a Priv from an iphone 6s) and other apps on the iPad. Life works so much better this way.

If you're used to a modern flagship Android, you're gonna be annoyed with the Classic for most features. But as a phone/texting/email device, it can't be beat.

Dont get me wrong, it can still perform most of the same things as modern smartphones, but it just does it a bit slower (the browser, for example) and requires workarounds that take time and patience.

also, the idea of having two phones is not bad at all ; what happens if you lost your phone?
I use a Classic as my main phone, with the minimum apps, the basic BlackBerry apps, an extremely reliable phone, small size... and I keep a Passport at home, like a mini compact computer, a backup and a nice bigger unmatched screen to do most of the computer works
