Exactly why would you want to? To me they weren't meant to be intentionally dunked but for those accidental moments where they did. I own the Motion along with a couple other phones with a higher rating (IP68), they are all treated as if they had no water & dust resistance. These things are too dang expensive to start gambling the manufacture got it right especially when their first or second purpose wasn't meant to be a submarine, nor their third, fourth, fifth...

I wouldn't exactly call it a test, but I had to take a trip to New York City the other day and used Google Maps to find an address while I was walking through the streets. It was raining the whole time and I didn't have an umbrella so my Motion got wet a bit. Didn't seem to bother it. I was glad I had a phone with that rating!
