Do you use a case? If so, take it out and see if it still happens.

Yes, I do. But what's the implication of the case?

It's possible that it is interfering with the power button every now and then.

I think that this is not the problem. I ever do this and nothing change. My case is soft and do not press the start button.

Well, then do a factory reset. If that doesn't work, return for repair.

I had the same problem: Device would suddenly shut off. The battery also would not retain its charge. The battery would run down after two or three hours, even with "battery saver" turned on. Factory reset did not help. Device has now been returned to BlackBerry Repair Centre for new battery or replacement.

It's very curious. Can be the battery or the Android system. We have to agree that our devices is downgrade. In my point of view, the problem is the Android. When we will receive the update to the new Android???

My Dtek looks to have fully died yesterday. I have a solid red light and nothing else. It was going in and out all day then nothing last night. Who do I contact to talk about repair? I bought directly from BB at launch.

BlackBerry Mobile handles that device now.

After numerous phone calls and emails to both Crackberry and BlackBerry, I have sent my DTEK60 back to the BlackBerry Repair Centre here in Canada to either replace the battery or replace the device. Fortunately it's still under warranty.
