I am running an amazon bought sandisk 128gb micro sd with my Priv.

I am finding that it is not letting me capture videos in 1080p since it is telling me I need a class 10 micro sd for it, which the one I have should be.

I was able to record 1080p videos on all of my past BlackBerry 10 phones with this micro sd card.

Then I downloaded an app to see the speed of the micro sd card that I have. And it was way too slow to be a class 10 card.

    Any ideas?

    Cards go bad....

Check the speed of the card in another phone or a PC. Try cleaning the contacts with an electronic clearer or high level of alcohol. Maybe let the phone reformat the card.

Install "Exfat Driver" from play store. Then capture 4k or HD videos & check whether it works or not.

It is possible you have a counterfeit card, given the fact your testing shows it as being slower than a class 10 card. There have been counterfeit cards sold on Amazon.

I agree--this is happening more and more.

After seeing this, I just remembered I encountered this issue of getting the same message that my card doesn't support 1080p and it limiting it 720p, though all my videos to date has been recorded in 1080p. I never got the chance to check more deeply until just now. I just removed the card and cleaned the contacts with a cloth. It's now back to 1080p.

Try giving it a clean as other suggest above.

Not all class 10 cards will work with HD or higher video recording...
Best to get one that's rated U3 or V30.

Most of the Class 10 cards that you will find are Class 10 U1s.

Edit: I also ran into the same problem as you. Previous Class 10 card worked well on my Passport, but was not the case with my Priv.

I did the speed test again.

The speed is faster than the sandisk advertised speed of 80mb per second but still fast enough to be considered a class 10 card at 15mb read and 19mb write per second.

I will try cleaning the cards and see how it goes.

fwiw, I have a class 10 u3 card and had to restart after install to make the options go above 720p. I had to do it one other time as well as the options above 720/30fps had disappeared. I used the 32 second reboot

Same here, Lexar 128 GB UHS-1 card. All I had to do was reboot the phone, recognized the higher quality recording options. Random I'm guessing, so far it hasn't happened again. Simple reboot might sort it all out. If not try to reinsert the card.
