I just ordered too. $481 Canadian with tax and the $60 charger thrown in for early ordering. Arrival expected the week of August 8th. I have been thrilled with my BB Classic and I pre-ordered it too. I went to the Classic from iphone 5 which I never warmed up to. I'm sure the DTEK 50 will serve all my needs other than the pkb. I'm sure I will get used to the vkb with practice. If and when the BB Mercury arrives, I likely will jump ship for it. I'll keep you all posted on when I get it and what it is like to use it.

Who knows if that isn't on their "super secret" roadmap? I agree, I love Blend, and would like to see them work on it for Android devices. Personally, I think it would be a big appeal for their enterprise target audience.

Actually I was waiting for UBUNTU-phone or a Jolla-phone but both seem to be developing a bit slow when I reminded my brother is more than happy with his Z30 running BB10. I was quite close to ordering a Z30.

Interesting...reading here in this tread, it seems that few people think that Aug 8 is when phone should be delivered. On Blackberry's website it shows that the device will start shipping the week of Aug 8. I too, pre-ordered the device and would like to know if Aug 8 could be delivery date or when the company plans to start shipping as they mentioned? By the way, I ordered mine on B&H website and they indicated Aug 9

One observation that may or may not mean something. Yesterday I got an email from BB Store saying to contact them as they couldn't process my credit card (I ordered on July 26). So it seems that they are processing and putting through the credit card charges perhaps starting yesterday? After dealing with the email issue, I did ask if Aug.8th was likely and she said she didn't know, but watch for an email and that Purolator would be the delivery agent in Canada. I think they have them and will be shipping them on the 8th as I recall in the past with my Classic, my credit card didn't get dinged until they were shipping.

Ordered today. Currently on Priv. MY Priv is awesome, camera is crazy good but I have no use for the keyboard and I never will.

I'm a bit nervous about the camera on the DTEK compared to the Priv, that's how fantastic the camera is on the Priv. We'll see. Looking forward to getting the DTEK in my hands. I also hope Picture Password transitions to DTEK sooner than later. Love it on the Priv.
