Thanks but if I would have known I was going to get in this deep, I might have just suffered through the battery pulls with the 99.

    No more devices.

Yes. As a Verizon Z30 (it has Qi wireless charging) owner, I'm finding my Tylt provides great relief for the wear and tear of my device's micro-USB port. If that port completely craps out, then the wireless charging is good to fall back on.

I have the Verizon Classic which also has wireless charging and I love it. I have three Tylt wireless chargers. Two in the house and one in the car. Car one gets hot with direct sunlight on hot days. But besides that, they all work great.

I just must have got unlucky with both Itian and Tylt desk chargers. Maybe it is the power source? You can use any power source with the BestFire and Itian because of the universal cable, but the Tylt uses a pin type plug.

I should have played around more with the power source for both the Itian and Tylt and maybe found the right combination to prevent overheating. Android power source has less amps. The 3 coils might be an over kill. Don't know.

    Now this is plan crazy!!!

I have $850+ invested in the ATT Classic. I have been looking at Q10/Q5 now I'm looking at the P9983. Someone slap me and wake me up before I rationalize going to one phone line and saving $500/year.

Must be crazy just spent another $160 on a white Q5 and a red and black keyboards.

$1k since the Classic launch. Should have just bought a P9983?

Can I ask where you got your ATT for $305?

I guess it's rather subjective (and based on your numbers you may not be the best person to ask ), but is the extra $90 to get the phone from ATT vs ShopBlackberry worth it (439 vs 349) for wireless charging? I get that some in here say their USB plug may come loose with constant charging on the conventional cradle.

Just went to the ATT Company Store and they obviously aren't interested in matching prices. Since they had no accessories to throw in, I passed. But I'll probably go back.

Two weeks ago i decided I would return the ATT Classic because it was just to heavy to pack around and since I had a Q5 coming I could save some money by just having a Q5.

Well I can not get use to not having a track ball. So I bought another Classic and wireless charger on Amazon for $50 less than I paid the last time. $240.00 ($262 delivered) what a deal.

Hard to say whether it's worth it. I have an AT&T Classic with wireless charging (I bought it on eBay, new-in-box, for only a small premium over the regular price) and eventually got AT&T to unlock it. Wireless charging is nice. I keep a charger next to my computer at my desk and leave it on there during the day. Very convenient to pick up and place back to keep the Classic topped up during the day. I do not charge my Classic at night that way, because I've found that there a small, but still too large chance, that I misplace my BlackBerry on the pad and wake up to a fully drained phone. I plug into the USB port at night, to ensure that it's definitely charged in the morning. Wired charging is also faster than wireless charging, but it's a nice convenience to have at my desk. Whether this fits into your lifestyle is a question for you, but if you just want to charge it at night wirelessly I might think twice about whether it's worth it. If wireless charging becomes ubiquitous (i.e. Starbucks has them built into the tables), then it will be definitely worth it, but I'm not sure we'll get there for some time. IKEA has some furniture with wireless chargers built in, which seems like a great early step.

Got a Tylt Vu. No chance of dropping it on the charger and having it misplaced.

    @lipoff

At this point I can choose to buy a ATT phone as I have sold the SQC100-4.

To me the track ball is a must have. I find it annoying to try to place the cursor between two letter for editing. Typing without the track ball takes so much longer.

What a deal under $270 delivered almost $200 less than the SQC100-4 on launch day.

I reduced my overall cost by $100 to $755.00 by returning my original SQC100-2 purchase and the car charger. For me the dash mounted wireless charger was just another distraction and almost annoying have it keep going off in plain sight.

If the hype wasn't so high at launch a person is better off waiting 6 months for the pricing to come down. Wonder what will happen when the Slider is launched?

Bottom line is I can't live without the Classic no matter what it cost.

I am also glad for the Q5 experience as now I realize the P9983 is not for me. Only a show piece that is less functional than the Q20. Another reason not to make impulse buying.

I will still eliminate one phone line in November to save $480/year. This gives justification to buy the Classic II if it comes out next year.
