Blizzard has finally officially opened up HearthStone to Android phones on the Google Play Store. I did a quick search and found nothing in the Amazon App Store with my Z30 however.

Currently downloading using Snap. I'll report back on how it runs on the Z30.

Any users here with a Passport that want to give it a whirl? Very curious as to how it would run on the superior hardware!

UPDATE: It will intall and load up just fine, however it apears to run out of ram and get closed by the OS. Passport should be able to run it.....

How did you manage to find it in the Amazon App store? It is actually supposed to be available for phones now, however I cannot find a version of it there.

Just downloaded and installed via Snap on my z10. Opens to the unpacking crates page and gives an installation error as shown below.

Kind of hoping this doesn't get fixed so I can keep myself from playing nonstop!

The installation error should go away after opening again, or a phone reboot.

It looks like BlackBerry Phones cannot log in though.

I had this exact same problem. Downloaded using the Play Store with the app by Cobalt on a blackberry Q10 (classic?). Downloaded google services etc but using the Lucky Patcher as instructed stopped Heartstone working at all. Re-installed from Play Store and back to hanging at the inn doors. Thought it might be Blizzard servers down for maintenance on wednesday mornings? Or is it the same authentication problem as QuizUp?

n.b - not enough posts to link the Cobalt stuff but a google search for "Google Play Store for Blackberry" should bring it up quick; "Cobalt's official Google Apps landing page" is the forum title for the patching stuff.

Using my ipod I was able to install and play a game. Looks like sign in forces a browser type window to pop up and login. I wonder if that's why ours hangs on the door? It is waiting for that field to get filled out and assumes the window is open over it?

From what I've seen so far, the game does not require Google Play Services to actually play the game, although it may require it for downloadable content. Download through Amazon if you can.

Hmm..... if we could find the web url to login, then perhaps it would work in much the same way other apps use the web browser for authentication.

Has anyone actually tried the Amazon specific version of the app yet? The mobile phone friendly version?

I've installed hearthstone with Google Play Store.
Everything installed perfect only can't login.
The browser with battle.net won't popup.

    I have a blackberry passport.

Looks like there's some type of memory leak, at least in the version I got from the Play Store, because it force closed one of my active frames. I've yet to find anything that will do that on my Passport.

I've unpacked an Apk of a slightly older version of the game. Was not able to look at the actual source code, just the assembly language the file was compiled into. Still saw some interesting stuff though!

There are several web login "Activity files." This suggests that it possibly uses some sort of web interface to log in... or not.

There was a folder for Unity3D content. This suggests that the game may have been build with Unity3d... which is able to export to BlackBerry 10!

There were also several Amazon and Google Play specific directories, indicating that some services/code is store/platform specific. Again.... I'd really like to get my hands on the Amazon specific apk, it may run better.... or not.

Anyways.... not much more I can do here.

    Hey everyone,

There's a discussion about this over in the HearthStone forums. If you want this game to hit BB10, please add to the discussion there!

Maybe this is a stupid idea but it's worth to try it.

What if you log in on an android device. Then the log in will be saved somewhere right? Because you don't have to log in constantly.

So can't we transfer the log in files from the android device to bb10 device? I don't know where the save files are but maybe this is a solution.

Hey man, good idea but I think the "log in" files are probably saved in protected device memory. Not a bad idea, but probably not feasible.

I'm beginning to think that the problem is it's poorly coded and suffers from very bad performance. Amazon.com has many reviews complaining about lag, but it's unclear exactly which device the users have. Nevertheless, the screen transitions are painfully slow for me and the settings menu can sometimes multiple taps to launch, even on my Passport.

It works perfectly on my passport.
No lag, no slow downs only can't log in.
And somewhere there must be a solution for this.
