Hi Guys my 2nd 10.3 Update arrived over a week ago. Once most issues has been fixed from the 1st 10.3 download around 3 weeks ago I am still experiencing the phone lag where there is still a 2 to 3 second delay before the receiver can hear me once the call has been picked up. Is anybody else still experiencing this problem? Optus Sydney Australia check attached.

Same problem here in Canada. I am sure a future update will solve the problem. I am running the same os as you.

What difference does it make if there is a very short delay?

I know guys, it can be annoying I thought it was a phone issue not the update that caused this problem but I was wrong. I know now it is generally happening on Z30 phones and not the passport as they already came in with the Pre-Installed 10.3.. I get the receiver hanging up on me before I get to say even one word at times. I just hope BlackBerry is treating this as a priority as we do need to communicate.

Hi Oz, it seems to be a a Z30 issue which your passport already came with the Pre-Installed 10.3. We received our 1st 10.3 Update 3 weeks ago and even though most things are amazing with new features my biggest gripe is the call issue and now a limited WiFi signal.

The Passport also got this recent update. I have also updated my Z30 but haven't tried it with a sim card as yet. Will try it today if I get a chance. Have you tried a hard reset at all?

Paul, is this when you are making or receiving calls? I am on 10.3.1.1779/ OS 10.3.1.2576 on my Passport and my Z30 is on 10.3.1.1784/10.3.1.2582.

Yeah my Z30 has this same issue for about 6-10 seconds before actually hearing anything, mind you though, the call is very clear. Just the lag which is a bit odd. (Toronto)* It use to have no problems connecting right away, I wonder what the issue is?

    5 secs/call * 10 calls/day * 365 days/year = 18250 secs/year = 304.17 min/year = 5.07 hrs/year

That's 5.07 hrs/year that could be spent on CrackBerry discussing the delay.

    Both Ozfork,

And then after the 2 or 3 second delay you hear a click sound. So basically when somebody picks up the phone or I pick up the phone there is the delay-click-then speak.

There is a lag of 2-3 seconds before the call is picked up while receiving. It's something annoying.

Hi. I also noticed this delay, an it's most annoying. Most people hang up during the time I am saying "Hello, Mike speaking" three times. I thought it was because of the Parrot call recorder. For interest sake, I'll turn off the call recording and see if it makes a difference.

Any of you guys experiencing the issue running Parrot in the background with auto record call on?

Can't you guys just tap the silence icon and then pick up call... is it really that hard.

That issue has been around for some time now and there has been a lot of discussion. Can't you guys just live with and if you can't just get another phone.

Whats the point in discussing the same topic over and over again, with every time a new thread for that.

Yea. I have the same OS. The problem still persists. I can understand your annoyance. Hopefully they'll cure it in the future releases.

The most annoying fact is that it vibrates 1-2 more time(s) after answering, with the phone to my ear.
I stated in another post that I am pressing the mute/silence key before sliding the knob to answer, so the lag gets removed.

This is annoying, not really influences the functionality, but it has to be fixed, so I can call my BlackBerry a premium phone with a premium OS.

This, and the volume key lag issue are the ones that didn't get sorted since the first 10.3.1 leaks released. I am hoping they will get soon, tho.
