    Due to my friends lack of knowledge he bricked my BB Porsche p 9982. If I connect it to a charger a red light blinks. But does not switch on. If connected to pc the BB link recognises the cell. What to do. All the parts of it are still in best condition. Will it be useful to give an update through BB link? Any other advises?. Please tell me to recover my bricked cell. Any help welcomed. Please please help me. Many important documents were saved. I may relax even if it could switch on.Or will the bb showroom guys be of any help?

    The device will be fine, as you can always run an autoloader.

    If you have data that is not backed up however, you may be out of luck.

    Was thinking the SAME thing, BUT I wonder does the 9982 require a special autoloader with it's OS, OR will any BB10 autoloader do? (Z10 compatible)

    Yes -- make sure you pick the one for z10 STL100-2,3 NOT the z10STL100-4

    Just checking but you do realize that you download the autoloader to a PC, then unzip it and attach your phone via usb then run the autoloader. Sorry if you know this already.

    7z file. That is the zipped autoloader and you must unzip it after you have downloaded it to your PC. It should be about 1.4 GB zipped--much bigger when unzipped to give you an .exe file. Attach your device to the PC, close BB Link if it starts up, then click on the .exe file. The process will take about 15 minutes, then you can add all your email/accounts/apps/settings etc. Good Luck! It's an easy process and if botched somehow, just do it again no big deal.
