im thinking of getting a blackberry legacy device (bold 9790) and using it strictly for call, text and emails. i wanted to know if i use my legacy device for only these few things will i still experience lagging and freezes as i did with my Blackberrys in the past?

Probably. Plus, you still need a BIS plan for push email.

BIS is dirt cheap now, anyone can get it.. it's like £5 a month in the UK lol (not sure on other countries)

Plus having BIS enabled gives you that *peace of mind* knowing you are protected by BLACKBERRY SECURITY.

The internet browser is unusable but for calls, texts, emails and BBM it'll be fine. With BIS you can turn on BB Protect and it will sync your notes, calendar, passwords etc. You can create and edit basic documents and create voice notes. Perfectly functional and a better option than using a feature phone.

Make sure your carrier still offers BIS...
