I just purchased a 9720 'cause i like its design and i wanted a smartphone with a keyboard.
Unfortunately, I found out that whatsapp no longer supports this device

There is any way to make it work? For example installing an older version?

You need BlackBerry Internet Service(BIS)

Love the 9720. Used it for three years till September 2016. OTA updates, FM radio, extra side button, swipe up to unlock, quick access camera: BB10 features (mostly) on BBOS. If I remember correctly whatsapp should still be available for BBOS 7.1 till End of June. But you will need BIS. You need to contact your provider for this. I know Vodafone UK still offer it. Hope you sort it.

Probably not.

Whatsapp requires the app to be up to date in order to work, and the app is updated frequently.

I trust them when they say it will not work after June (unless they choose to extend the time frame again).

It's simple. jUst download it from the OTA link then change your date (yes it's stupid) then register then change your date BACK. It's really that simple.

and YES> I didn't believe in that. I mean what is this. a way to crack software from the 80's...but YEP. THAT's how it works!
